Instructions

Note: this is an audio lesson and requires the use of a CD player. This lesson features Wham’s “Last Christmas”.

1. Pronunciation Practice. Have the ALT pronounce the words in the “listen and circle” section. The students should repeat after the ALT.

2. Listen and Circle. Divide the students into pairs or groups of three. Each student should ready a pen such that each student in a group uses a different color. Play the song. Whenever a student hears one of the printed words, he/she circles it. The student who circles the most words is the winner.

3. Listen and Write. Return the students to their original seats. Play the song. Students should write down any words they hear that are related to colors. Review the words that the students have written, adding in any that they may have missed. Play the song again. Students should write down any words they hear that are related to people. Review the words that the students have written, adding in any that they may have missed.

4. Fill in the Blanks. Play the song twice. The students must fill in the blanks in the lyrics. Review the answers.
