If you intend to travel after leaving Japan, be sure to give yourself enough time to update your immunizations before you leave. Check the following websites for health recommendations for specific countries (vaccines, malaria prophylactics, etc.):

Inoculations against rabies, hepatitis A & B, measles, Japanese encephalitis, polio, and tetanus (and others). They also have malaria medications. They can advise you on what to get depending on your destination. Inoculations are not covered by national health insurance. The nearest bus stop is Kyokai.
